Playwright

Lyon Kennedy
Lyon Kennedy is a playwright based in Pine Plains, in New York’s Hudson Valley.
His work draws on a wide span of experience — from growing up outside West Philadelphia as one of thirteen children with ten brothers, to serving in the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, to living in Germany for five years not long after the fall of the Berlin Wall, where he learned the language by immersion and passed the fluency exam to study at German universities.
He spent 25 years as a technical writer in IT, retiring from PwC in 2023, and published short stories and poems along the way.
The Ghost of Fallujah is his first play. He is currently developing new work. He is the father of two children and lives with two dogs and two cats.
